INTERIOR DESIGN
FOR AUTISM
Interior design is one of the disciplines that have made themselves present in the challenge of analyzing the physical and psychological conditions that affect people with autism. In doing so, interior design can offer practical solutions that promote the integration and comfort of the individual in society.
People with autism often have altered sensory systems, and interior design is an instrument of organization and systematization that helps define when to control or encourage them, in order to generate an improvement in their behavior. Through the study of the components of space and the user's behavioral profile, it has been concluded that factors such as lighting, shapes, textures, furniture, acoustics, air conditioning, and specific color palettes will achieve a better development in the child who presents this condition.
